Any Answers? Yes, but no... WHAT?

Neurology Appointment

I had my first appointment with my neurologist yesterday.  It took everything in me to remind myself to tell them EVERYTHING I felt.  I couldn't pretend I was fine or push through the tolerable stuff like I had done my entire life.  I learned to push through everything that caused me distress.  I can't do that now if I want to learn what is really going on with me and figure out what I need to do to ensure I'm able to enjoy life with my family.

Good News & Bad News

The GOOD news:  The doctors informed me that my brain looks good, according to the two brain scans completed.  The abnormality they found was not worrisome.  YAY!

The BAD-ish news:  I have an EEG for my brain scheduled later this month.  That's another test to add to the lists of tests I already have scheduled. I'm so over it already.

Where Does That Leave Me?

This still leaves me with uncertainty.  I have no idea what my year could look like until I have some definitive answers.  Although, I have heard some issues take years and several doctors to get a proper diagnosis.  That still leaves the question of the ability to return to my day job as a childcare teacher or if I should consider another route.

As the photo above suggests, "Do What You Love!"  Both choices lead me to somewhere I love - teaching.  However, the directions either lead me to teaching children or teaching adults.

The Plan (for now)

I'm laying the foundation for the ability to teach adults (and sometimes older children).  It is a back-up plan, which could eventually become the permanent plan.  Those of you following my journey, and the newcomers too, are helping me build that foundation.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

What the future holds for me may be unknown, but it doesn't mean I have to move forward without an idea.

  1. I love the comment about starting - Laying plans for something big by starting small. I do a vision board AKA Envisioning Possibilities workshop. (1.20.24) It is based on feng shu so it doesn't get out of hand. There are 9 areas in the bagua - some of those areas we want to expand and enrich our lives. There are other areas we would just as soon quiet down. It's about focusing our energy. Looking forward to reading more as you explore all the possibilities in your life.

    1. Hi Linda! That sounds interesting! I'll have to learn more about it. I've always connected with the energies around us, so that is definitely something I'll look into. :)
